RULES & REGULATIONS

Handicap Requirements
The tournament will be conducted using the USGA Slope Handicap System. Entrants' handicap indexes will be used to establish a daily handicap based on the USGA slope rating of the course to be played. In early May, all players will receive a handicap verification mailing. At that time, players will be required to submit a copy of their current handicap card to tournament headquarters for verification. The card must clearly indicate a player's most current 18-hole handicap index and include a list of scores used in the calculation of the handicap.
If you do not have an established USGA Handicap Index, please send 5-6 or your most recent scorecards when you receive your Handicap Verification Mailing in May. Do not send scorecards in with your entry.

Handicap Monitoring
Your incoming handicap will be used for the first round of play. After the first round, your handicap will be calculated from your incoming handicap index and your first round score. Handicaps will not be increased because of this adjustment. During the rest of the event, every score will be screened through our adjustment system. This system will examine each score relative to the difficulty of the course played. If, when calculated, your score breaks the established threshold, your handicap will be automatically adjusted for the remainder of the tournament. If a player is adjusted and continues to shoot exceptional scores, their handicap and its accuracy will be thoroughly researched. The following methods may be used to discover false handicaps of players in question:
• Reviewing past tournament results/rankings
• Utilizing the Internet to research
• Tournament scores/results not posted on handicap
• Other handicaps established but not reported
• Updated handicaps not reported prior to tournament
• Implementing USGA Probability Table for exceptional score(s)
• Calling home golf courses/interviewing person(s) that attested to handicap in question

Any participant found, at any time, to be using a fraudulent handicap will be expelled from the tournament and all fees will be forfeited. The Tournament Committee reserves the right to change a player's handicap index or disqualify from participation, if deemed necessary. All decisions of the Tournament Committee are final.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellation/refund requests must be received in writing at the tournament office. Requests are accepted via fax, mail or email only. The Tournament is not responsible for lost or misdirected cancellation/refund requests. Full refunds will be provided for cancellations received in the tournament office by 5:00 p.m. on May 7, 2010. A $90 refund will be provided for cancellations received after May 7, but before May 23. Unfortunately, no refunds can be provided after May 23, 2010. Please allow 4-5 weeks for the processing of the refund request.

Weather Policy
No refunds, transfers, or exchanges will be made if the tournament is canceled or shortened due to weather or nature. One completed tournament round will constitute a tournament.

Rules of Play
The USGA Rules of Golf will govern play. Local rules at each course will apply. The Tournament Committee will resolve all disputes regarding every aspect of tournament play.
